It has been almost two years since the Xbox One console was
launched to the market, but Microsoft didn't abandon it just like that. In the
E3 2015 event, Microsoft announced the backward compatibility feature that
basically allows Xbox One to run the Xbox 360 games.
Although this feature can only be enjoyed by the owners of
Xbox One, but this time Microsoft brings surprises for the Xbox 360 fans, it
brings an update system which brings a number of new features.
The first update is about cloud storage. Now, Xbox 360 users
can store the games up to 2 GB in the cloud. Obviously the Xbox One users can
also access the saved games from the cloud when they want to play the
compatible Xbox 360 games.
Second, the Xbox 360 can now access the Internet network in
public places, such as hotel for example. As we know, the hotel's internet
network usually require users to agree to the 'Terms of Use' and the like
before starting to use it, previously it was impossible, but now everything can
be solved with this latest update.
Furthermore, Xbox 360 also gets Activity Feed feature, where
users can post comments or like, see the screenshots taken and watch various
video clips. Xbox 360 users now can recognize what games that are being played by
friends, including those who play on Xbox One or PC Windows 10.
Lastly, although it sounds trivial, Microsoft also includes
a new video and music players for the Xbox 360: Microsoft Movies & TV and
Groove Music. If you are using Windows 10, you certainly know that these two
players are carrying a more comprehensive format and an interface that's easier
to navigate.
Microsoft apparently will still sell the Xbox 360 and also
provide an update until at least next year.
