A device producer from Spain, BQ, stole public attention
when it released the BQ Aquarius E4.5 Ubuntu Edition smartphone. This device
became one of the first smartphones which run with Ubuntu Touch platform from
Canonical.
BQ now again presents the latest device, however it doesn't
use Ubuntu Touch anymore, but Android operating system. BQ participates in
carrying initiation device of Android One program that's targeting users in
Spain and Portugal.
BQ Aquarius A4.5 smartphone comes with a 4.5-inch screen at
a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, and it's orchestrated by the 64-bit ARM
Cortex-A53 chipset with the support of ARM Mali-T720 GPU which is packed in
1GHz quad-core MediaTek's MT6735M processor. It’s also equipped with 1GB RAM
and 16GB internal storage, and is powered with a battery capacity of 2,470mAh.
If seen from the specifications above, apparently the BQ Aquarius A4.5 smartphone is intended for the mid-range segment, just like other
Android One smartphones, either the first or second generations that previously
have been presented in a number of countries, such as Lava Pixel V1 for the
Indian market, i -Mobile IQ II to the Thai market and Infinix HOT 2 to African
markets.
BQ Aquarius A4.5 Smartphone also comes with a number of
standard features that are commonly found on Android smartphones such as the
availability of WiFi connection with standard of 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth
4.0, as well as the ability to be used as GPS device.
In addition there are two cameras: an 8 megapixel camera on
the back as the main camera, and a 5 megapixel camera on the front of the device.
Interestingly this smartphone has supported the 4G LTE network, runs with Android
5.1.1 Lollipop, and is equipped with dual SIM card. The users can also add the
storage capacity up to 64GB via the microSD slot provided.

Smartphone is available in two variants of colors: black and white, and will be
offered at a price of 170 Euros.
Just like other smartphones of Android One program, the BQ Aquarius A4.5 will support software updates directly from Google over the next 24
months, in other words, this smartphone will get an update to Android 6 Marshmallow
when it's available later.
