Introduced in June last year, Gamevice offered a unique
perspective in enjoying mobile content on the iPad Mini. The developer tried to
combine the capabilities of device's hardware with the control of handheld
console. It's not a new idea, but the big screen support of iPad Mini ensured a
more satisfying gaming activities.
Following the press conference that's announcing the latest
products of Apple in San Francisco some time ago, soon the iPad Mini is not the
only iOS devices that will be supported by the Gamevice's peripherals. It seems
that Gamevice will become the first manufacturer that's providing gaming
controller for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. If viewed broadly, the design
and presentation of this new accessory is actually still the same.
Your iDevice serves as the main medium to run the game. It's
pinned in the middle of the accessory, connected by Lightning connector. The
buttons layout and the sticks are quite familiar, especially if you often spend
time with the PlayStation Vita or home console in general. The Home button is in
the right side, and the speaker is placed on the left.
Contrary to the Vita, the analog thumb-sticks are placed
above the directional keys and action buttons, each is placed in the corner.
The directional pad is in the reach of your left hand's thumb, while on the
right there are XYAB action buttons. The placement resembles to the Xbox
controller, only with different colors. At the top, you will find the 'digital
bumper', L1 and R1, and the trigger buttons, L2 and R2.
Other complementary trinkets include a power button, pause,
lock, and four battery indicator red lights. The new version of this Gamevice's
accessory brings an external battery with a capacity of 200mAh. In addition,
the manufacturer has provided it with Audio DAC (digital-to-analog converter)
via 3.5-mm jack to present satisfactory sound.
Gamevice explained that the owners of smartphone or tablet
spent 67 percent of their time to enjoy the games, but unfortunately the
inconvenience of swipe and tapping method was a major problem there.
All versions Gamevice's accessories will be priced at the
same price, US $ 100, they will be released in October 2015 before the launch
of the new iPhone and iPad.
