Within a few years, RHA Audio has been able to build a good
reputation and is referred as premium earphones manufacturer. Its flagship
earphones, RHA T20 are priced at $ 240, far higher than the majority of other
earphones in the market.
That's because the RHA carries the philosophy without
compromise. In the case of RHA T20, these earphones not only promote the sound
quality, but also elegant look and physical hardiness.
However recently RHA is experimenting with something
different, this time the RHA wants to prove that a balance between design and
sound quality can still be obtained in a more affordable price, and then the
RHA S500i is created.
Compared to RHA T20, the RHA S500i has a very compact size.
And instead of using a stainless steel construction, it is made of aluminum
that's lighter but more robust and more elegant than plastic. Inside these
earphones there’s a driver which's claimed to be able to reproduce sound in a
wide frequency range, precisely 16-22000 Hz.
Each unit of RHA S500i comes with 7 pairs of silicon ear
tips in different shapes and sizes, so users can easily customize their needs.
Interestingly, the 1.35 meter cable of RHA S500i has a double design: half onto
looks like a standard cable, while the bottom half is braided cable which's
thick enough.
RHA S500i will be exhibited at IFA 2015 in Berlin next
month, and go on sale in October 2015 for $ 50. RHA also offers a variant
that's not equipped with a remote and microphone, RHA S500, which's priced $ 10
cheaper. These earphones are companied with 3-year warranty.
