Do you still remember with the Polaroid Cube, a unique
action camera that can be mounted anywhere? Polaroid has just introduced its
successor, Cube +.
Polaroid Cube + still retains all the advantages of Polaroid
Cube, especially its cube body with dimension of 35 mm and a rubber layer on
its surface. Cube + remains waterproof, attractive, ergonomic, impact resistant,
and its bottom side is still equipped with magnet so that this camera can be
mounted in various places, or by utilizing a variety of accessories.
So what's new in Cube +? The Wi-Fi feature! Very simple
indeed, but it’s very useful because users can now move the photos and videos
taken by Cube + to mobile devices with ease.
Cube + companion app on Android and iOS also serves as a
remote control. In other words, smartphone or tablet can be used as a
viewfinder for the Cube + which is not equipped with any screen. The editing
and sharing features are also presented in this application.
Additionally, Polaroid apparently also boosts the image
resolution of 6 megapixels to 8 megapixels on the Cube +. At the same time,
Cube + is now also able to accommodate a microSD card capacity of 64 GB.
The Polaroid Cube + is scheduled to go on sale for $ 150 in
August. You can choose several colors such as black, red or blue, and of course
still with the rainbow stripes which become the characteristic of Polaroid.
What about the original Polaroid Cube? It will still be
produced and marketed, with the same price as before, $ 100. Even Polaroid will
present two new colors for Cube in August, namely pink and green phosphor.
