Who says PC can only be controlled with keyboard and mouse?
Using an application called Intel Remote Keyboard you can turn your Android
smartphone or tablet into a keyboard and mouse of your PC.
Indeed this is not the first application which offers
similar functionality, but the Intel's application is more superior in terms of
setting and fast connection process.
First of course you need to download the application via
Google Play, and install its software on the desktop. Intel Remote Keyboard
will automatically detect your PC when connected to the same local network with
your mobile device.
This application can be used in portrait or landscape
position. You can move the cursor on the PC by rubbing a finger on the
smartphone screen, or typing using its virtual keyboard. On the right side of
the screen, there is a scroll bar for sliding pages.
The gesture that's commonly offered by laptop trackpad can
also be applied here. And of course the one-finger tap as a left mouse click,
and the two fingers touch which will then be translated as a right-click of the
mouse.
Intel actually creates this free application to use with the
mini PC or Intel Compute Stick. However you can still use it to control any PC
that runs with Windows 7 or 8.
