So far apparently the integrated LED flash on smartphone is
still considered less effective in improving image quality in low light conditions.
The digital camera users also understand that they need a separate flash
accessory if they want to get satisfactory images results.
Indeed the flash accessory for smartphone has been available
on the market in various styles and innovations. Unfortunately, almost all of
them can only be used with their own companion applications. And often, the
companion applications are not as complete as the default camera applications on
Android or iOS.
iBlazr 2 brings an interesting solution for the above
problem because this external LED flash can be used with the default camera
applications on smartphones - Android and iOS. If viewed from the name, we can
recognize if this product is the second generation of the first product that
also had the same problem as other flash accessories: the dependence on the
companion application.
After connecting the iBlazr 2 with the device via Bluetooth
4.0, open the default camera application, and then you only need to tap the
iBlazr 2 twice, it will light on and the photograph will be taken
automatically. Yup, besides being a source of extra lighting, iBlazr 2 also
functions as a remote shutter. It's still able to operate despite being 25
meters away from a smartphone or tablet that has been connected.
So, what’s about the light emitted? iBlazr 2 has a
brightness level of 300 lux when used from a distance of 1 meter - about twice
brighter than the smartphone flash in general. You can adjust the light color
temperature, ranging from 3200K which looks warm, till 5600K which has cool
shades.
Physically, iBlazr 2 is fairly compact, only 40 x 28 x 10
mm. It comes with two kinds of mounts, one to be attached to a smartphone, and
another one for use with digital camera. A diffuser which is made from silicone
is also included so iBlazr 2 can give softer light effects. The battery is
claimed can last up to 300 times flash beams.
