Asus has just announced the Asus ZenBook Pro UX501. This
latest laptop becomes the highest variant in the Asus ZenBook family with the
qualified specifications and features offered.
Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 comes with a 15.6-inch IPS screen in
two screen options. The first variant comes without touch screen feature in a
resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The second variant has higher resolution, i.e.
3840 x 2160 pixels (UHD) with coverage of 100% sRGB color gamut and touch
screen support.
This laptop is powered by Intel Core i7-4720HQ processor and
16GB RAM. The storage space is available in several options including hard disk
with a capacity of 1TB, 128GB or 256GB SATA III SSD, or 512GB PCIe x4 SSD. Of
course, the PCIe SSD option is the most interesting component because it promises
faster performance with maximum capability of read/write up to 1400Mbps.
For the graphics performance, Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 is
equipped with Nvidia GTX960M GPU graphics card. With these specifications, the
Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 can compete with the MacBook Pro from Apple. Moreover,
for the UHD screen variant, Asus has also added Thunderbolt 2 port connectivity
which can also be found on the MacBook Pro.
