Aston Martin is known as luxury cars manufacturer which
always creates exotic and distinctive cars. But it turns out that this British
car manufacturer will enter a new segment which doesn't involve wheels. Yes,
soon, you will see an Aston Martin on the sea.
Collaborate with the Dutch company, Quintessence Yachts, and
Mulder Design firm; Aston Martin reveals the presence of AM37, a luxury
speedboat which is inspired by the charm of Aston Martin sport cars.
As information, Mulder Design has a great reputation in
designing speedboats. They are the team that designed the speedboats in several
James Bond films, such as Octopussy, Moonraker and The World Is Not Enough. So
far AM37 doesn't have a functional prototype, but from its rendering image,
this speedboat has a charming look.
As the name implies, Aston Martin AM37 has a chassis along
37 feet, or equivalent with ± 11 meters. Aston Martin also contributes in
making the AM37 design process. Carbon fiber and other composite materials are
believed to be the framer of this speedboat construction.
AM37 will carry the voice command system and a HD touch
screen as the central operation of navigation systems and multimedia. Overall,
this speedboat is claimed will present high speed, luxury and convenience
features just like the Aston Martin's super expensive sport cars.
Speaking of performance, this speedboat is planned to be
offered in two different variants: AM37 and AM37 S. The AM37 is an ideal
variant to be used when you want to relax in the middle of the sea, even though
the speed can reach 44 knots (± 81 km/h), while the AM37 S is fiercer; this
variant can reach a maximum speed of 52 knots (± 96 km/h).
Aston Martin AM37 prototype is currently being assembled at
a new facility in the UK, and will be exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show in
next September.
