One of the Aiaiai flagship headphones, TMA-1, has evolved
into TMA-2. Not only carries the role as successor, the Aiaiai TMA-2 also presents
a modular concept that has never been offered by any other headphones
manufacturers.
The idea is simple: every person has different
considerations in choosing headphones. For example: The DJs are usually looking
for headphones with a steady bass response. The guitarists generally seek for
headphones with a neutral sound character. Meanwhile, some consumers are
looking for headphones with a versatile voice character that's comfortable to
wear while traveling or relaxing at home.
Rather than offering a number of headphones to meet the
demand of many people, Aiaiai chooses to offer a headphone with a variety of
customization options. This is what's called with modular concept that's
brought by Aiaiai TMA-2.
Starting from the driver unit to the cable type, you can choose
them by yourself. There are four types of TMA-2 components where the
configurations can be changed, and in total there are 360 kinds of
combinations.
There are three kinds of headbands you can choose, each with
different pads thicknesses. There are also five types of earpads in two sizes -
small (on-ear) or large (over-ear) - either with leather or microfiber lining.
Six types of cables, either coiled or straight style, and equipped with remote
control, microphone, or not at all.
The driver unit is also offered in four types, either which
is made by titanium or neodymium. Each driver has been tuned with a different
character: all-around, punchy, warm and vibrant. Your choice determines the
character of the sound produced by Aiaiai TMA-2.
In addition to providing myriad options to meet the diverse
preferences of consumers, the modular concept of Aiaiai TMA-2 can also give
positive impact on the financial side. For example, when the earcup or driver
unit has been damaged, you don't need to buy a new headphone to replace the TMA-2,
you just need to buy the necessary components to revive it.
To help consumers in choosing the right combination, Aiaiai
has prepared an interactive tool that's accompanied with the description of
each component and its type. Or you can choose a combination based on usage
scenarios, genre, and also combinations that have been made by renowned
musicians.
