For the gamers, the term of nostalgia is often associated
with Nintendo. Console 8-bit which is named Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
- or Family Computer (Famicom) in Japan - indeed is not produced anymore, but
there are still many people who save and play it occasionally.
For those who still have and play the NES, there is an interesting
offer from 8Bitdo and Analogue - which recently released gold-plated NES modern
generation. Both of them develop the Retro Receiver, a dongle for the NES that
allows users to play by using wireless controller or gamepad.
The tip of the dongle is exactly the same with the original
NES gamepad. It features Bluetooth connectivity, and a single dongle can
connect four wireless gamepads simultaneously.
Obviously you need your own wireless gamepad, and 8Bitdo so
far has been offering a variety of models, start from the model that exactly
looks like the original NES gamepad, until the model that's equipped with
analog stick and arcade panel along with its joystick.
Interestingly Retro Receiver is also compatible with a
gamepad of next-gen consoles; either the controller of PS3, PS4 or Wiimote. All
the extra buttons that exist on the controller will be considered as turbo buttons.
Retro Receiver has been marketed for $ 20 per unit.
