On Jan 12, Xiaomi officially introduced the Redmi 3, a
low-cost smartphone but with a fairly tempting specification. Three months
later, Xiaomi wants to offer a more powerful and more complete choice, in the form
of Redmi 3 Pro which has been officially revealed and will be sold at its
headquarter, China, on April 4, 2016.
Based on what was reported by PhoneRadar and a number of
online media, Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro inherits most of the components in Redmi 3,
the difference is the additional fingerprint scanner for security and 3GB of
RAM with 32GB internal storage space.
The rest, Redmi 3 Pro has the exact same specification with
its senior. Among other are the HD resolution 5-inch screen, Snapdragon 616
chipset, 13MP and 5MP cameras, 4.100mAh battery, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and a
series of complementary features such as 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and
microUSB.
Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro will be available in Silver, Grey and
Gold. In China, it is offered at a price of 899 Yuan, or $ 140 per unit. There
has been no information whether Xiaomi plans to bring this new smartphone out
of China or remain exclusively for the domestic market.
