Canon introduces its latest entry-class digital SLR: EOS 1300D

Canon has just announced its latest entry-class digital SLR, the EOS 1300D. Broadly speaking, this camera is still the same as its predecessor, the EOS 1200D. However, Canon has added some new features that will make this camera to be relevant with today social media era.

Its main feature is the Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity so that user can forward the pictures to his/her smartphone, and then share them on social media quickly. But that alone is not enough; the EOS 1300D also brings a new shooting mode namely "Food Mode" that can be accessed via dial mode. As you might guess, this mode will help user to capture his/her delicious meals with a more optimal light setting.

The main component of the EOS 1300D is still exactly the same as its predecessor, the 18 megapixels APS-C CMOS sensor, with 9 points autofocus system and 1080p video recording capability. Even so, Canon has replaced the processor into DIGIC 4+ to improve the overall performance. About the sensitivity, this camera has an ISO range of 100 - 6400, and can be expanded into 12800.

Other update of EOS 1300D is given to its 3-inch LCD screen on the rear part where the resolution is now getting sharper, 920 thousand dots. For the rest, the EOS 1300D still maintains the reliable formula of its predecessor in an affordable price.

Canon EOS 1300D is scheduled to go on sale in April. It is bundled with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens for $ 550.
