Pepsi introduces its first smartphones: Pepsi Phone P1 and P1s

The rumors which said that Pepsi would launch its first smartphone devices were true! Named Pepsi Phone P1 and P1s, these Pepsi's first smartphones are officially appeared in a crowdfunding campaign in China.

In the term of brand, everyone would already know the Pepsi brand. If viewed from the specifications, Pepsi Phone P1 and P1s are made with a very good plan. From the outside of the devices, there is 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The 2.5D design on the side of the screen makes the devices look premium. 

At the inside, there is 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor that's combined with Mali 450-MP4 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. Pepsi also provides an additional microSD slot if the memory is still not enough.

Pepsi Phone P1 and P1s offer 13MP camera on the back and 5MP at the front, it's very adequate to meet the needs of the consumers. Pepsi Phone P1 and P1s have 7,7mm thick body, and use a custom OS called dido which is polished from the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

The Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment Co that assembles these smartphones also provides other features such as the support for 4G LTE, nano-SIM slot, a fingerprint scanner, and battery capacity of 3.000mAh that's quite big.

As already mentioned before, Pepsi smartphones will only be sold through crowdfunding campaign on the Z.JD website. Pepsi Phone P1 and P1s are distinguished by the choice of local operators. The price will be raised based on certain unit sales, ranging from $ 78 to $ 203.
