One of the advantages of Windows 10 if compared to Windows 8
is the return of the Start Menu. Indeed, there is Start Menu button in Windows
8.1, but its function is different, where you will be 'thrown' to Metro
appearance which's not too ideal for desktop PC.
The Start Menu in Windows 10 itself is slightly different
with the one in Windows 7. The main difference is the presence of a special
section to display a number of Live Tiles, where the size of each tile can be
adjusted in accordance with the users’ desires.
For users of Windows 10 who 'jump' directly from Windows 7,
they may rarely utilize the Live Tiles feature on the Start Menu. In fact, some
may want the exact same Start Menu just like in Windows 7.
If that's what you want, you can take advantage of a new
application called Start10. The Start10 allows you to customize the Start Menu
of Windows 10. And most importantly, you can change the appearance just like
the Start Menu in Windows 7.
Start10 is developed by Stardock which is the same developer
who developed the customize software of WindowBlinds appearance which was quite
popular in the late 90's to early 2000's.
Start10 can be downloaded via Stardock's official website
for $ 5, but there is also the option of free-trial for 30 days so you can try
it first.
