About two weeks ago, we have seen a unique product from LG,
the LG Wine Smart, a flip smartphone with Android operating system. And now,
Samsung brings a new competitor called Samsung G9198.
Just like LG Wine Smart, Samsung G9198 is a flip smartphone
that runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. The difference is Samsung
gives top class specification into this smartphone.
The most interesting feature is the Samsung G9198 has two
screens at once; one outside and one inside. As a result, in the closed
position, this smartphone can still be used like Android smartphones in
general.
Both of screens have a size of 3.9 inch with Super AMOLED
panel resolution of 1280 x 768. It produces sharp image with a pixel density of
382 ppi. Samsung G9198 is orchestrated by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 SoC, with hexa-core
processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage (plus a microSD slot with a
maximum capacity of 64 GB).
At the rear, you can see a 16 megapixel resolution camera
which's accompanied by the f / 1.9 lens, in addition there is a 5 megapixel
front camera for selfie purposes. Although this is a flip smartphone, but
Samsung G9198 has been equipped with fingerprint sensor, dual SIM card slots
with support for LTE connection and battery capacity of 2,020mAh.
So far Samsung has planned to release the Samsung G9198 in
China next month. Nevertheless, if seen that the LG Wine Smart is ready to be
marketed internationally, it's possible that Samsung G9198 will also be offered
to other countries. Unfortunately there is no information regarding to the
selling price.
