The Google Translate team tests a new app in 27 languages

Google Translate

Google Translate is a very useful application, especially when you have to go to other countries for business purposes. You only need to direct the smartphone's camera to translate text on various objects instantly, ranging from signs in the street to the menu in the restaurant.

Instant Translation feature was previously limited only for a few languages. But in its latest update, Google Translate has now added support for 20 new languages. So now in total there are 27 languages that can be translated instantly.

Interestingly, this Instant Translation can work offline by downloading the language pack for each language that measuring about 2 MB. It is important because we are not always able to get internet access when going abroad.

In the same occasion, voice translation feature of Google Translate now can also be effectively used when the Internet connection is slow. This increase is crucial because not all regions have the same network quality.

Google Translate version 4.0.0 is now available on Google Play and the App Store.
