In a special event in Beijing recently, ZTE officially
introduced their latest flagship smartphone, Nubia Z9. To attract more
consumers, ZTE offers a unique smartphone which has 0.8 mm super thin bezel
that's barely visible. Since the rumors circulated, many people talked about
the Nubia Z9's minimalist bezel design. This design provides good effects, one
of which is giving wider and luxurious look to the device.
ZTE Nubia Z9 has 5.2 inch screen with a resolution of 1080p and
8,94mm body thickness. The minimalist bezel design makes the smartphone screen
looks more spacious than the actual size.
Just like HTC One M9, Nubia Z9 also chooses Snapdragon 810
chipset as the main brain of the device, accompanied by several different RAM
components. ZTE differentiates the device in three variants based on the
capacity of the RAM and memory.
The first variant is called Classic, it brings 3GB RAM and 32GB
memory, it's priced at CNY3,499. The second variant is called Elite version
which is priced at CNY3,999, this version brings 4GB RAM and 64GB memory. The
last one is the Exclusive version with 4GB RAM and 64GB memory plus TIO, this
variant is priced at CNY4,499. These prices apply in ZTE's local market, so for
the other regions, the prices would likely be more expensive after the addition
of various costs.
All the variants above have relatively similar specs,
including a 2900mAh battery, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, MHL 3.0, 8MP front camera, and
16MP rear camera which is equipped with various advanced photography features,
including autofocus, OIS, LED flash, Geo-tagging , touch focus, face detection,
HDR and high resolution video recording capabilities. However the highest
variant of ZTE Nubia Z9 has been equipped with TIO feature, the fingerprint
scanner technology as possessed by the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6.
Then there is a technology that makes this device becomes
more interesting, namely the FIT. This technology not only makes the bezel
looks attractive, but also interactive. FIT makes bezel can respond to a
variety of gesture to activate some features, such as capturing screenshots,
activate the camera and adjust the screen brightness.
Currently the Presale of ZTE Nubia Z9 has begun in China.
There is no information when this device will be released to other regions.
