Paper application by FiftyThree has accompanied the iPad
users to make a lot of artworks since 2012. Indeed, there are many drawing
applications for the Apple tablet, but Paper is quite popular because of its
minimalist look and gesture-based navigation.
Paper does offer a number of in-app purchase content for
users who need access to a number of extra tools, but the FiftyThree team has
made all of them free of charge since February 2015.
In this newest update, Paper introduces a new tool set named
Think Kit which can also be obtained for free. Through Think Kit, Paper wants
to explore wider users, not just people who are interested to make artistic
sketch.
Think Kit consists of three tools: Diagram, Fill and Cut.
All three are designed to simplify the brainstorming process and also
presentation preparation. These three tools allow users to create diagrams in a
variety of interesting forms.
So, if you draw a line from left to right, for example, Paper
will enhance the line so that it looks straight, similarly for the arrow and
other objects such as a square, circle or triangle. After the diagram sketch
has been finished, you can fill it with a variety of colors using the Paper's
palette.
This sketch refinement feature is similar to what's offered
by Adobe Comp CC application. But that makes it a little different is the Paper
engine which is claimed can maintain the uniqueness of your scratches so it
will still look like handmade.
Along with Think Kit, Paper also complements its sharing
features. Users can now open their works in a variety of applications on the
iPad, such as Trello, Slack, Dropbox and so on. You can also export your diagrams
into a PDF format, PowerPoint or Keynote for presentation needs.
The Paper by FiftyThree version 2.5.1 can be obtained
through the App Store.
