Jogging while accompanied by music is indeed enjoyable. But
sometimes that makes a bit complicated is, we have to carry a smartphone
because all of our favorite songs are stored there. For that, we can try a
hybrid between the earphone and MP3 players which have been sold on the market.
Problem solved; we no longer need to carry a smartphone to enjoy music while
jogging. However, a new problem emerge, we need a fitness tracker to record all
the valuable data related to our physical fitness.
Well, that what's intended by Sony. Its new product named
Sony Smart B-Trainer is a combination of three devices at once: earphone, MP3
player and fitness tracker. Everything is packed in one attractive package,
splash resistant, and extremely portable, it's weighing only 43 grams.
What can be monitored by this device? Quite a lot, ranging
from the number of footsteps, calories burned, speed, distance, to the heart
rate. Behind its small body, Sony Smart B-Trainer apparently has packed a
variety of sensors, including the heart rate reader sensor, GPS and
accelerometer.
All the monitored data will be stored, before being
forwarded to the smartphone via Bluetooth when you've finished the activities.
Thanks to the presence of GPS, you can even monitor your jogging route on Smart
B-Trainer application on your smartphone (Android and iOS).
Furthermore, Sony Smart B-Trainer is equipped with storage
capacity of 16 GB which can store approximately 3,900 songs in MP3 format
files. The battery is expected to last up to three hours nonstop when all
features are turned on, including the fitness tracking function and music
player.
Sony Smart B-Trainer will soon be marketed in the near
future, with five color options. Unfortunately there is no information about
its price.
