At an event in Beijing, Tuesday (06/30/2015) Huawei officially
introduced a new smartphone named Honor 7. This became an anti-climax of rumors
which were spread ahead of the presence of this device, ending the opinions and
predictions that appeared in some media.
Targeting the middle class market,
Huawei Honor 7 looks classy with a unibody design that’s made of aluminum
alloy, strong, sturdy and luxurious. Accentuates the impression of a luxury
smartphone, Huawei Honor 7 comes in elegant colors: silver, gold and dark gray.
On the outside, Huawei Honor 7
packs 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1080p which results in a pixel
density of 423ppi. While on the inside, this Android 5.0 Lollipop smartphone is
supported by Huawei's chipset, Kirin 935 which brings dual processor: 2.2GHz
Cortex-A53 and 1.5GHz Cortex-A53; Mali-T628 graphics processor and 3GB RAM. On
paper, the processor that's carried by Huawei Honor 7 is not a top class
processor, but it's more than capable of running a variety of applications and
heavy games in a quality screen resolution.
In terms of cameras, Huawei provides a 20MP main camera with
phase detection autofocus technology, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, and sapphire
protection glass. While at the front, Huawei chooses 8MP sensor module which is
more than enough for many purposes.
Huawei is also pinning fingerprint
scanner technology below the main camera and 3.100mAh battery with super-fast
battery charging technology. In addition, Huawei Honor 7 also comes with number
of standard connectivity features like Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC, and several
ports.
Huawei Honor 7 is presented in three variants. The first
variant has an internal memory of 16GB with single SIM, priced around $ 320.
The second variant is equipped with dual SIM feature and 16GB internal memory,
priced at $ 355. And then the last variant has an internal memory of 64GB and
dual SIM feature, priced around $ 400. China will get first opportunity to
enjoy this smartphone, and other regions will follow.
