Reportedly Samsung is developing a new battery using the
more advanced materials and technology. This technology will allow smartphone
to accommodate the battery capacity of 6.000mAh which would answer the low battery
problem that's often faced by smartphones in general.
Battery life still becomes an important issue that has not
been fully resolved in the midst of smartphone’s vital role in this modern life.
Some vendors have tried to solve this problem by pinning big power battery, but
it will be followed by the increase of device thickness.
It's said that Samsung is developing a battery that's made
from silicon anode, but the top part is covered with graphene layer to improve
the density and durability of the component. The silicon anode is one of
battery components which is believed to have longer endurance than the
materials that are currently used by the batteries in general.
The experiment has created a battery component with a
density of 1.5 to 1.8 times better than the current component. It allows the
duration of use increases two times longer than current batteries used by most
devices.
Samsung explains that by doubling the battery capacity, the
smartphone will be able to bring a battery with a capacity of more than
6.000mAh, which means user doesn't need to recharge his battery too often, even
when the battery condition has begun to worn-out.
However, it should be noted that this battery technology is
still in development stage, so we probably will not see it installed in Samsung
smartphone in the near future. But at least there is hope and coming closer to
reality. Let's wait and see!
