On July 6, 2015, the most popular action camera
manufacturer, GoPro, introduced the GoPro Hero4 Session, which by far is the
smallest action camera they have ever created.
If viewed from its appearance, apparently GoPro is inspired
by Polaroid Cube which had been launched beforehand. The length of each side is
about 38 mm, and the total weight is less than 74 grams. At first glance, its
size is almost no different than the Polaroid Cube, but compared to other GoPro
Hero4, this new camera is 50% smaller and 40% lighter.
GoPro Hero4 Session can be brought diving to a depth of 10
meters without the need for additional case. And just like the Polaroid Cube,
Hero4 Session is also equipped with one operating button at the top; press one
time to start recording, and press again to stop and turn off the camera.
And what’s about the recording quality? Even though Hero4
Session hasn't been able to record 4K video, but it offers a variety of
recording options: 1080p 60fps, 720p 100fps and 1440p 30fps, and accompanied
with a pair of microphones. In addition to video, Hero4 Session can also take 8
megapixels photos, in Single mode, Burst or Time Lapse.
GoPro Hero4 Session is of course compatible with almost all
mounts that are provided for GoPro action cam lines. This camera is equipped
with a microSD card for up to 64 GB capacity. GoPro Hero4 Session is powered by
a 1,030mAh battery, and the estimated operation time is about 105 minutes for
the 1080p 60fps video recording in the position of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off.
GoPro Hero4 Session will be offered at a price of $ 400 when
it's launched to the market on 12 July, or exactly the same as the price of
GoPro Hero4 Silver that's equipped with LCD. The sales package includes two
mounting frames and new style of mounting buckle.
