Since it was first introduced, Waze has managed to attract a
lot of users thanks to its unique concept, in which all users are encouraged to
exchange information to get the best driving route. On the other hand, its
attractive design makes a lot of women love to use it.
Now Waze is getting better, the version 4.0 of its iOS app
brings a fresher new look. However, this design revision is not only intended
for eye candy, but also to allow the users to operate the application easier,
such as starting the navigation, reporting the road conditions, and also
sharing the routes to other users.
A new additional that's quite striking is a panel to display
ETA (Estimated Arrival Time). Simply put, the panel at the bottom will store a
summary of your route along with the estimated arrival time. From there, there
is a button to send the ETA info to the colleagues who have made an appointment
with you.
In addition to the overall look, cleaner and tidier map,
Waze version 4.0 also promises the reduction in battery consumption
significantly. Efficiency seems to be an important aspect here; the process to
start the navigation and send the location information is now also shorter.
Waze apparently also brings a Smart Reminder feature, where
notifications will be sent so you can leave and arrive on time based on traffic
conditions and estimated travel time. While driving, there is a report that
will be displayed in certain colors so that you can understand it easily.
Waze version 4.0 can be downloaded by users of iOS devices
from the App Store. The Android version will follow in the near future.
