As expected before, Sony finally officially introduces its new device, the Xperia Z5. In fact, not only one, Sony also reveals two other variants, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium.
For the fans of Sony products, you can expect a lot on this
successor of Xperia Z4, because, not only more powerful, Xperia Z5 and its
friends also have many interesting new features.
Sony Xperia Z5
The original variant of Xperia Z4's successor brings 5.2 inch Full HD screen at a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels that's resulting a pixel density of 424ppi.
The performance improvement is also promised by Sony, the
Xperia Z5 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) chipset which
brings 2.0 GHz / 1.5 GHz octa-core processor, and is accompanied with Adreno
430 GPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal memory.
Xperia Z5 has a dimension of 146 x 72 x 7.3mm, and weighs
about 154 grams including 2.900mAh battery which is claimed can last up to two
days.
Xperia Z5 obtains significant improvements in camera components;
there is 23MP Exmor RS camera at the rear, with F2.0 G lens which is the first
regeneration module since its use on the Xperia Z1. While on the front there is
a 5MP camera with Sony Exmor R for mobile sensor Full HD video. This front
camera has a special feature in the form of 5x clear zoom to get the best selfie
shots. According to the plan, this 4G LTE smartphone will be released in
October, but unfortunately there has been no information about the device's
price.
Sony Xperia Z5 Compact
Sony Xperia Z5 Compact carries the screen that hasn't changed much from the previous variant; it still uses a 4.6 inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. However, this smartphone has equal quality with the Xperia Z5 and even the Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has been holding the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset and also has the same cameras features: 23MP Exmor RS camera and 5MP front camera.
Furthermore, the Xperia Z5 Compact also has some mainstay
features such as a fingerprint scanner on the power button, 2GB RAM, 32GB
internal memory, IP65 / IP68 certification which indicates that this smartphone
is water and dust resistant, 2.600mAh battery, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 and
Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
As the name implies, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has the most superior specification if compared to the two variants above. It has 5.5 inch screen with a resolution of 4K UHD (3840×2160), 806 PPI. Even so, the screen resolution doesn't cause adverse consequences on the battery life. Sony claims that the 3.430mAh battery can last for two days with a single charge.
But Sony doesn't give much change for the inner components;
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is still using Snapdragon 810 with 3GB RAM, 32GB
internal memory, waterproof and dust resistant, NFC and also the same cameras
as the two variants above. It's just that this new device will be released to
the public in November 2015.
