Windows 10 is two days old now, so don't be surprised if
there will be a lot of news related to this platform in some time to come. The
latest news this time comes from Microsoft itself, which through a blog post;
it announces the availability of Office Mobile for Windows 10 users.
As the name implies, this Mobile Office is intended for
tablet devices that are running Windows 10. Unlike Office 2016 which's designed
for desktop devices, Office Mobile consists of only four applications: Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote - the last app is even already available in
default for users of Windows 10 tablets.
Why does Microsoft create a special version of Office for
the Windows 10 tablets? Because Microsoft has designed it from the beginning to
be used by touch screen devices, with a neat interface and large buttons that
big enough for consumers' fingers.
Regardless of the neater interface and optimization for
touch screens, all applications of Office Mobile for Windows 10 still carry
most of the features offered by its desktop version. Four of these applications
alone are enough to accommodate the productivity of users.
Of course, Office Mobile for Windows 10 has brought OneDrive
integration so you can access your documents from anywhere. Your edited files
in tablet will still look consistent on the desktop, and vice versa.
How do I get the Office Mobile for Windows 10? Update your
tablet to Windows 10 first, and download the applications of Word Mobile, Excel
Mobile and PowerPoint Mobile from the Windows Store. Everything is free and
requires no subscription to Office 365.
