The last few months are busy moments for LG. They are aggressively
introducing new products from various categories, and now they present a
Bluetooth headset with a unique design called LG Tone Active.
Seeing from its name, it seems that this Bluetooth headset
is intended for consumers who love to exercise regularly. However, its shape is
very different from the most of Bluetooth sport headsets in the market.
At first glance, the LG Tone Active looks like a headband
with striking four colors choices. But rather than worn on the head, the device
weighs about 48 grams is designed to hang around user's neck like a necklace.
At the end of each side, there is earbud with adjustable cord.
Armed with such unique design, the LG Tone Active is claimed
not easily fall off when it's used while running. It's also designed to be
resistant to water splashes or sweat with IPX3 certification, so it really can
accompany you to exercise at anytime and anywhere.
LG Tone Active has packed Bluetooth 4.1 chip, whereas the
estimated battery resistance is about 9.5 hours. It is also equipped with
Quad-Layer Speaker technology and Digital MEMS microphone. LG claims that the
bass reproduction is steady, the distortion at high frequencies is lower, and
clearer sound capture by the microphone.
For now the LG Tone Active is sold in South Korean and US
for $ 129. Its presence in other countries will follow along with the third quarter
of this year.
