Google removes the Google+ integration with other services, started with YouTube

Google+ integration with other services

Recent news related to Google+ has just been released; through a blog post, Google reveals its plans to remove the Google+ integration with various services gradually.

As we know, so far Google seems a little bit 'forcing' the users to participate with its social network, for example is the necessity to make Google+ profile when someone is about to leave a comment in a video on YouTube.

But all that will soon come to an end; Google has officially separated YouTube with Google+. In the next few weeks, users are no longer required to have a Google+ account to be able to leave comments on YouTube. Comments made will only appear on YouTube, not on Google+, and vice versa.

This step will also give impact on the comment's ranking system on YouTube. Simply put, the ranking system will be more effective in sorting the spam comments. As proof, Google claims that the number of dislike comments on YouTube could fall by more than 35 percent.

Not just leaving a comment, in the future, the YouTube users are also not required to have a Google+ account to upload the videos to their channels. When these changes have been running later, the YouTube users are free to delete their Google+ accounts if they want it. But for now, don't rush to remove it, because the YouTube channels you have created can be deleted too.

So does this mean you should stop using Google+? No, if you love the communities you have joined in Google+, you don't need to do anything with your account. The elimination of Google+ integration is done because there are many users who feel uncomfortable to use Google+ profile as an identity in all of Google's services. Meanwhile for other services - Gmail, Google Drive, YouTube, etc. - can be used only by using one Google account only.
