Dell has been known as a computing devices manufacturer that has an excellent reputation, although this company is not too aggressive in desktop segment, but it remains consistent in delivering new products.

Dell has just released a newest portable computing device that runs on Windows 8.1 operating system. This new device is called Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme Tablet. What makes this tablet interesting is its toughness; it's claimed that this tablet can be used in various terrains and all weather conditions.

No wonder if Dell claims that this device is designed for use in the harshest conditions and most extreme places. We can see that most of tablets in the market are made in frail frames, but the Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme Tablet looks very solid. The tablet is powerful enough even though dropped from a height of four feet, and it’s also resistant to splashes of water, mud, sand or dust.

Not only that, this tablet can also be used in various temperatures, ranging from minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. These conditions make this device fits for military members, construction workers, outdoor activists, medical teams, and the mountains or woods explorers.

Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme Tablet carries the quality HD screen measuring 11.6 inch that's packed in resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The screen is wrapped with glass that supports the multi-touch usage and can read the user's hand touches, despite wearing gloves. The screen brightness can also be set in order to feel more comfortable even when used under sunlight.

Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme Tablet is supported by the 5th generation of Intel dual-core processor, i.e. Intel Core-i3 1,70Ghz. As for internal storage capacity, the tablet that can be used up to 12 hours continuously, has an internal storage capacity of 512GB solid-state storage plus 4GB RAM support.
