More and more vendors are trying to create a monitor that's designed specifically to meet the needs of gamers. This time Acer presents a new gaming monitor named Acer XR341CK.

This monitor has a diagonal span along 34 inches, with IPS panel resolution of 3440 x 1440, and a contrast ratio of 100,000,000: 1. Maybe some people are wondering why this monitor hasn't been 4K, well … Acer seems to have an interesting alternative.

As we can see from the resolution, the monitor has uncommon aspect ratio, instead of using 16:9 as in general; it uses 21:9 which looks wider and very ideal for cinematic-nuanced games, such as Grand Theft Auto V, for example.

At the same time, Acer XR341CK apparently also adopts a curved design, with a very thin bezel around the screen. Just imagine how immersive it will be when three curved monitors are lined up together. Furthermore, this monitor is also supported by an aluminum stand that not only can be tilted, but can also be elevated up to 5 inches.

Acer also embeds AMD FreeSync technology, which will ensure a smooth gaming display without image tearing and stuttering problem. Simply put, this technology enables the compatible AMD Radeon graphics card to set the refresh rate of the monitor.

A pair of 7-watt speakers is also embedded into the Acer XR341CK frame. But if you want to get a thunderous sound, you can also add separate speaker units.

About the connectivity, this upscale monitor brings the latest standard connections, such as HDMI 2.0 with support of MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link), as well as DisplayPort, miniDisplay Port and USB 3.0.

Acer XR341CK is scheduled to be marketed at the end of July at a price of $ 1099, and the United States will be the first market place of this monitor.
