Aesthetics and customization are two essential elements that
should be offered by a smartwatch in addition to its functionality. That's why
smartwatch manufacturers don’t hesitate to collaborate with renowned figures in
the fashion world. If Apple was working with Hermes, Samsung chose to collaborate
with the design maestro from Italy, Alessandro Mendini.
But that initiative apparently is still not enough. Now
Samsung has another way to provide a more complete customization option for the
Gear S2 users in the form of Band Adapter.
As the name implies, this accessory is designed so that the
Gear S2 can be compatible with a standard watch strap measuring 20 mm. The Band
Adapter is made of solid stainless steel material, and its two color options
making it in harmony with Gear S2.
It can be used in simple way; you should remove the original
strap of Gear S2, and then plug the Band Adapter in each side of Gear S2. From
there, you can simply hook the standard watch strap or the Gear S2 Classic
strap.
So far the Gear S2 Band Adapter is marketed only in three
countries: Germany, Singapore and South Africa, but Samsung promises to bring
it to more regions in the near future.
