Aston Martin Vulcan can reach 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds

Aston Martin Vulcan

Exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show in last March, Aston Martin Vulcan is a limited edition supercar which becomes one of the most expensive and fastest vehicles that have ever been made by this British company. When the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari are categorized as the consumer vehicles, Vulcan specification makes it can only race on a special circuit, it's not allowed to enter the street.

Indeed Vulcan looks very pretty. Although it still carries some characteristic of Aston Martin, but it looks wilder and more futuristic than its brothers. Vulcan specializes itself in a performance, and Aston Martin doesn't mind to sacrifice luxury and comfort factors to this variant. Its body is designed to be aerodynamic, and almost all parts are utilizing carbon fiber material with chassis structure and integrated body.

In its debut at Goodwood competition - with Darren Turner behind the wheel, Vulcan was armed with 2 liter V-12 machine, capable of producing more than 800 horsepower. Vulcan didn't have difficulty to touch speeds of 100 kilometers per hour in less than three seconds. The engine was placed on the front to move the rear wheels through six-speed Xtrac gearbox.

Interestingly, the above list is not the final specification of Aston Martin Vulcan. There is an opportunity for the team to boost its performance so much better. The development of this car is based on the Aston Martin GT family, aided by the Canadian corporation, Multimatic. Although Vulcan focuses on speed, but Vulcan is built on safety standard of Federation Internationale de l’Automobile.

One unit of Aston Martin Vulcan is priced at US $ 2.3 million before taxes. This price is still comparatively economical when compared with other vehicles in the same class, for example McLaren P1 GTR which is offered at US $ 3.3 million.

Another thing that makes the Vulcan deserves to be hunted is the limited production factor; Aston Martin Vulcan is only produced 24 pieces for around the world. Darren Turner will lead a team to train and assist you in dealing with Vulcan.
