Live Streaming Application, Outcast, Gives Equal Popularity For Every User

Live Streaming Application, Outcast

As the competition between Periscope and Meerkat continues to Android, now there is a new live streaming app for iOS. Its name is Outcast and it brings a slightly different concept for the users.

Outcast combines the live streaming video feature ala Periscope and Meerkat with the looping mode that we know from Vine and Instagram. Simply put, you can broadcast the live video, but the duration is limited only for 15 seconds.

For the audiences, after 15 seconds elapsed, another video will play automatically. In other words, there is no video that can be watched twice in Outcast. It's done to allow all users to get equal popularity among one another.

The social interaction in Outcast is also limited. The like and dislike feature still exists, but users can't follow each other, so the number of audiences for each user can be synchronized.

Nevertheless, there is also a list of the best videos sorted by number of like. These videos can be watched at any time, but the like and dislike feature is no longer active when the audiences access them from this list.

The videos that are recorded and broadcasted live on Outcast are not edited, everything pure comes from the iPhone camera of each user. The more 'like' you receive, Outcast will give longer duration for videos you make in the future.

The Outcast can be downloaded for free from the iTunes.
